We are excited to offer a new black tea from Fujian. Harvested at an elevation of 1,100-1,500m, our Gongfu Black tea is harvested from the Wuyi Mountains and the tea is named "gongfu" not for the method of brewing (although it can be brewed either western or gongfu style) but for this particularly style of tea in Fujian.
Gongfu Black comprises elegantly twisted leaves that once brewed, release a fragrance that is reminiscent of caramel, with hints of red stone fruits. The flavor is mildly sweet and lingers on the palate.
This tea can be enjoyed standalone, or with a splash of milk if preferred.
This tea is not officially organic, but is certified for EU import, which means that it has been tested for pesticide residue levels and passed. The EU is known for its very strict standards and so if you are concerned about residues, this tea can be enjoyed with great confidence.
