Bi Luo Chun Green - 2024 Ming Qian Harvest

Bi Luo Chun is literally translated "green snail spring", its name reflecting the handrolled snail shape of the fuzzy tea leaf. This ancient tea is harvested in spring and has traditionally been enjoyed by emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for its delicate, yet complex fragrance and lasting flavor.

The Bi Luo Chun we purchased this year is from the Ming Qian harvest (tiny window before the spring rains) and harvested from a small farm in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Traditonally, this has been considered one of the best harvests of this green tea and is of the quality that one would give as gifts to respected elders and friends.

This year, the Bi Luo Chun has a wonderful vegetal fragrance with notes of chestnut, fresh green bean, honeydew melon and toasted rice. The taste is sweet, syrupy and smooth. The tea finishes in the mouth with a very delicate floral fragrance with a hint of fruit.

This tea is wonderfully delicate and complex, and is a must for lovers of fine quality, fresh spring green teas.
