Huangshan Mao Feng Green - 2024 Ming Qian Harvest

Huangshan Ming Qian Mao Feng is new to our shop this year, and is literally translated "Yellow Mountain Fur Peak" due to its abundance of silver baby hairs (trichomes) on the tea leaves, which are shaped like a mountain peak. This tea is one of the top 10 most famous teas in China and is grown in mineral rich soils, pan-fired, resulting in a tea that is both soft and delicate. The taste is light with a slight astringency, and grows increasingly sweet with each successive brew, due to the abundance of amino acids in the tea leaf. This fresh tea carries an inherent fragrance of soft hay, green vegetation and light florals when brewed. The tea is both soft and complex.

The Ming Qing harvest is a limited period pre-spring rains in 2024. In China, Ming Qing harvest teas are considered the best quality and are given as gifts to friends. We hope you will enjoy this excellent tea. It also makes an excellent gift to prospective in-laws and honored guests.
