We introduce a new tea for the 2025 season - Reader's Digesteaf.
This is a wonderfully balanced blend of lightly smoked chinese tea blended with calming lavender, clarifying sage, refreshing peppermint, rosemary, bergamot and crushed cardamom pods. The tea is light, fresh, very comforting and especially appealing if you like lavender (it's not overpowering) and freshly dried herbs. Many of the herbs are excellent for digestion and therefore soothing to the belly. I can imagine reading my books and curling up to a lovely brew. Except for the bergamot flavoring the black tea base very lightly, all the other ingredients are unflavored and untouched.
If you like Lady Grey Black, you may also enjoy a different spin on black tea with bergamot and lavender. This version is much more herbal and has a lovely, but not heavy lavender aroma. The tea steeps lighter than Lady Grey and is less suitable to be mixed with milk. The tea is not astringent at all.
All the ingredients are organic and the herbs are cultivated in local US farms.
