GABA Topaz Oolong

GABA, also known as gamma-aminobutyric acid, is a neurotransmitter that is naturally produced in the human brain and functions to send messages between the brain and nervous system. GABA's main activity is to reduce nerve cell activity and is therefore useful for calming feelings of anxiety & fear, enabling greater focus and improving mood. 

Many foods contain GABA, and tea is no exception, although to qualify as a GABA tea, the tea must have over 150mg of GABA per 100g of tea. 

Our GABA Topaz oolong originates in Taiwan and is harvested at an altitude of 400m. This oolong is lightly 50% oxidized, lightly roasted and has a light and fruity character. This is an easy to drink, easy to brew oolong and is a great introduction to the world of GABA teas.
