Phoenix Dancong Oolong - Magnolia - 2026 Spring Harvest

Harvested in Spring 2026 from tea bushes averaging 40 years of age, this exceptional Magnolia Phoenix Dancong is grown in the renowned tea gardens of Phoenix Mountain (Fenghuang Shan), Guangdong Province. Harvested only once each spring, it is prized for its captivating magnolia fragrance, creamy texture, and elegant floral character.

Phoenix Mountain's cool climate, frequent mountain mists, and mineral-rich soils provide ideal conditions for producing world-class Dancong oolongs.

Each spring, the leaves are carefully hand harvested by a farming family with decades of experience cultivating and crafting Phoenix Dancong teas. This is not a machine-harvested tea. Every batch is traditionally processed in small batches, allowing the tea maker to carefully guide each stage of production.

A light finishing roast gently halts oxidation through dehydration while preserving the tea's vibrant floral aromatics, creamy texture, and natural sweetness.

The dry leaves offer an intriguing aroma reminiscent of fine Japanese green teas with fresh vegetal notes. Once infused, the tea transforms dramatically, releasing an intoxicating bouquet of blooming magnolia flowers.

The liquor is silky, smooth, and lightly syrupy, with notes of fresh magnolia blossoms, sweet cream, spring flowers, and delicate orchard fruit. Its refined floral character is reminiscent of a fine Tie Guan Yin, while retaining the distinctive elegance and lingering sweetness of a classic Phoenix Dancong.

Each infusion reveals new layers of floral sweetness and creamy richness, making it an exceptional tea for Gongfu brewing.

This lightly roasted Spring 2026 Dancong is crafted to highlight its vibrant floral bouquet rather than for long-term aging. While it stores well when kept properly, its magnificent magnolia fragrance is most expressive during its first few years after harvest.

Elegant, fragrant, and beautifully balanced, this Magnolia Phoenix Dancong is a superb expression of traditional Phoenix tea craftsmanship, offering unforgettable floral aromatics, a luxuriously smooth mouthfeel, and a long, naturally sweet finish.
