Premium Long Jing (Dragonwell) Green Tea - 2026 Ming Qian Harvest

Dragonwell, or Longjing, stands as one of China’s most celebrated teas — a former imperial tribute and a true icon of Chinese green tea tradition. For centuries, it has been the signature tea of Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province.

This 2026 Ming Qian harvest comes from the Qiantang area along the Qiantang River, just outside the most exclusive West Lake villages. While it does not carry the rarest Shifeng or Meijiawu designation, this Qiantang Longjing reflects the same misty climate, mineral-rich soils, and time-honored pan-firing craftsmanship that define classic Hangzhou Dragonwell. We selected this particular batch for its outstanding balance, freshness, and value — a tea we are proud to offer in our collection.Harvested before the spring rains, these early tender buds and leaves represent the peak expression of the season. Carefully hand-roasted in the traditional flat, sword-shaped “tiger claw” style, the leaves display a beautiful bright jade-green color with a smooth, elegant finish.

When brewed, it opens with the signature deep roasted-nutty aroma of authentic Longjing — toasted chestnut, warm hazelnut, and gentle roasted bean notes. The liquor is medium-bodied and refreshing, offering a clean taste with a smooth, lingering aftertaste and a refined touch of astringency that gives the tea pleasant structure. High amino acid content brings natural sweetness that unfolds gracefully across multiple infusions.

There is something truly special about drinking a fresh Ming Qian Longjing in the weeks following harvest. This 2026 batch captures the bright, vibrant energy of spring at its finest.

Whether prepared gongfu-style or in a more casual Western brew, this Qiantang Dragonwell delivers an honest and satisfying expression of one of China’s greatest teas — fragrant, balanced, and full of seasonal character.

A quietly excellent choice for anyone who appreciates classic, well-crafted Chinese green tea.
