Wild & hand-harvested. Tea Leaves are harvested from 300-500 year old native trees growing in the wild at 1,200 - 2,000m altitude and plucked to the gong mei standard (one bud, 2-3 leaves). The leaves of this tea are a dark color due to the natural oxidation. This tea's original fragrance and taste is like the 2025 Yunnan Wild White tea; however, due to natural oxidation, it has transformed to a mellow and very fragrant and flavorful tea. Aged white tea is even more valued and treasured in China and Taiwan due to its deeper and sweeter fragrance & taste. Healthwise, aged white tea is very high in antioxidants.
This tea is part of a limited harvest of first pluck teas in the early spring, prior to April 4, 2021. Ming Qian tea is considered a treasure and is gifted in small quantity in China, due to its rarity and especially high quality.
If you are looking to enjoy the 2025 Wild White Yunnan tea but do not want the high caffeine levels, you should consider this tea. It is a rare treasure!
