GABA raw puerh is a unique type of puerh tea. Harvested from wild tea trees of ~300 yrs in age in the early spring, the raw material undergoes the typical GABA processing (exposure to nitrogen vs oxygen), resulting in a very unique taste with increased levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the tea leaf. GABA is an amino acid that occurs naturally in the human brain and increases one's sense of calm by relaxing the brain (in simple terms).
