Phoenix Dancong Oolong - Honey Orchid "Mi Lan Xiang" - Spring 2022 Harvest

Phoenix Dancong Oolong is a single bush tea native to Phoenix Mountain in Chaozhou, Guangdong Province. Our Dancong is harvested at an elevation of 600m by hand on Wudong Mountain, known to produce the best dancongs due to its abundant red clay soil with its mineral content, and the presence of older tea trees.

This Honey Orchid "Mi Lan Xiang" Phoenix Dancong was harvested in Spring 2022 from trees approximately 60 yrs in age. The tea has been 50% oxidized and roasted 4x for a strong and rich fragrance and flavor. Upon brewing, you are greeted by the fragrance of lychee, peach and a warmly baked fragrance with deep orchid notes. The flavor is refreshing and deep and the tea soup is a golden amber color. Mi Lan Xiang is one of the most well-known Dancong and if you like a more oxidized and baked oolong, you should definitely try this one.

These teas are produced in very small quantities, and we were fortunate to secure some for our customers!
